The Bundeskartellamt has today cleared the acquisition of N24 Media GmbH by the Axel Springer publishing house. N24 Media operates the news and documentary channel N24.

Andreas Mundt, President of the Bundeskartellamt: "The takeover is unproblematic under competition law. N24 is a specialised channel with a limited range of audience and a relatively low share of the TV market."
