Withdrawal of notification of merger between Nordson Corporation / hhs Leimauftrags-Systeme

In the merger control proceedings concerning Nordson Corporation, Westlake, Ohio (USA) / hhs Leimauftrags-Systeme GmbH, Krefeld, the parties to the merger have finally decided against the merger project and withdrawn their notification.

The Bundeskartellamt issued a warning letter about the merger project mid May 2005. According to a preliminary assessment by the Bundeskartellamt the planned merger would have strengthened Nordson’s dominant position in the domestic market for hot melt application systems.
