22.08.2002
The competent 2nd Procurement Tribunal of the Bundeskartellamt has extended the time limit for a decision in the lorry toll award review proceedings until 4 September 2002.
The competent 2nd Procurement Tribunal of the Bundeskartellamt has extended the time limit for a decision in the lorry toll award review proceedings until 4 September 2002.
An extension of the time limit became necessary because, in the hearing on 20 August 2002, the Federal Ministry of Transport (= contracting entity) referred to parts of files which were not available to the Procurement Tribunal. It was therefore necessary to request that these further parts of files be submitted. The Procurement Tribunal will try not to fully exploit the extended period of time for the review proceedings. The original time limit would have ended on 23 August 2002.
The 2nd Procurement Tribunal is examining the request filed by AGES Maut System GmbH & Co. KG for a review in the award proceedings for the introduction and operation of a distance-related toll levied on lorries on German motorways. The Federal Ministry of Transport intends to award the contract to “Die Bietergemeinschaft ETC. de” (Deutsche Telekom, Daimler Chrysler Services, Cofiroute). An extension of the time limit became necessary because, in the hearing on 20 August 2002, the Federal Ministry of Transport (= contracting entity) referred to parts of files which were not available to the Procurement Tribunal.
