In addition to the joint statement concerning the coronavirus crisis issued by the European competition authorities, the European Commission has published important information, contacts and recommendations, especially with regard to the subject of cooperation, on its website. In this way, companies seeking help can find guidance on competition rules in view of the social and economic effects of the crisis. The Bundeskartellamt supports this initiative and is available to companies as a contact for matters concerning Germany.
In addition to the German Competition Act (GWB), the Bundeskartellamt also applies the competition rules of the European Union in Germany.
